According to traditional beliefs living "Chi" energy flows along the energetic pathway-meridiens of the body. Chinese massage unblocks these meridiens allowing the "chi" to flow creating balance of your body, mind and spirit.
Movements are repeated until the muscles become softer and more relaxed. Then the acupressure points are stimulated using thumbs and fingers; pressing, vibration, rubing and kneading each pressure point. The session usually includes joint movements, as the therapist moves each limb through its range of motion and stretches the muscles. The therapist may also use traditional liniments to enhance the effect of the massage treatment.
Studies show that acupressure, a generic name for Chinese massage, is very beneficial. It helps prevent nausea during pregnancy, in post-operative patients and during chemotherapy treatment for cancer. It relieves depression, lower back pain, and improves digestion and sleep. It is used in Chinese hospitals to treat patients after a stroke, after orthopedic surgery and to relieve musculoskeletal pain.
It has strong releiving effects from aches and pains in the body caused by illness and stress.
